bogie hearth furnaces allow for overhead handling of heavier loads, using brick
hearts to carry the weight. Heating uniformity is achieved through the zone
control of the heating elements, with heating elements in the hearth to improve
heat transfer efficiency.

designed and built by Caltherm, the push mechanism, door gear, and product press
are operated by hydraulics. The whole system was built in our works and product
was produced, witnessed by the customer, to minimize installation time on site.

Calthermdesign and manufacture small batch brazing furnaces, using a retort mounted
inside a circulating air oven that rises off a heated hearth. The automatic raise and lower mechanism
allows easy loading access and an all-around seal when the furnace and retort are
lowered onto the hearth. A sophisticated
control system gives fully automatic operation from closing the safety gate to
opening it to unload. With oxygen instrumentation, heating and cooling are
optimized to minimize nitrogen consumption.
